Simple operation

• Set the desired frequency directly on the R&S®SMF100A without needing to configure frequency on the R&S®SMZ

• Level setting on R&S®SMF100A accounts for the connected R&S®SMZ (only for built-in attenuators); when using mechanical attenuators, the user must set the bolt according to the value displayed on R&S®SMF100A.

• Automatic frequency response correction for pre-calibrated R&S®SMZ including attenuators via R&S®SMF100A (when using mechanical attenuators, the user must set the bolt according to the value displayed on R&S®SMF100A.)

• R&S®SMZ can also be used in traditional setups (e.g., with any microwave signal generator meeting level and frequency requirements).
